Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn Dies

Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn, survivor of Soviet concentration camps, author of the Gulag Archipelago trilogy, Two Hundred Years Together, and A Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich, passed away of heart failure. He was 89.

In 1970, Solzhenitsyn won the Nobel peace prize for writing the Gulag Archipelago, a 3,000+ page trilogy describing the horrors of the Soviet slave labor camps in which he had been imprisoned. Although Solzhenitsyn exposed the Soviet Union’s own concentration camps to the international community, this holocaust survivor–if I may call him that–didn’t curry any favor with the Jewish community: many of the mass murderers identified in Solzhenitsyn’s writings were Jewish. For reporting these crimes against humanity, Solzhenitsyn has been labeled an “anti-semite”.

Natan Sharansky, an Israeli Jew who defected from the Soviet Union where he had also been a political prisoner, tells the Jewish Telegraph Agency that Solzhenitsyn’s prejudice should be viewed in context.

“I don’t think that he has any special prejudice,” Sharansky told JTA. “He had a big interest in defending the Russian nationalism, the Russian pride. Also he wanted to unmask the evils of the empire. While studying it, he discovered — it was very easy to discover — that among the architects of this gulag system, meaning this system of imprisonment, were many, many Jews.”

As one Jew told ynetnews, “An Israeli student finishes high school without ever hearing the name “Genrikh Yagoda,” the greatest Jewish murderer of the 20th Century, the GPU’s deputy commander and the founder and commander of the NKVD. Yagoda … is responsible for the deaths of at least 10 million people. His Jewish deputies established and managed the Gulag system.

In 1934, according to published statistics, 38.5 percent of those holding the most senior posts in the Soviet security apparatuses were of Jewish origin. Stalin’s close associates and loyalists included member of the Central Committee and Politburo Lazar Kaganovich. Montefiore …adds that those starving to death in Ukraine, an unparalleled tragedy in the history of human kind…did not move Kaganovich.” Seven million Ukrainians starved to death under Kaganovich.

Despite the fact that Solzhenitsyn’s writings won him the Nobel prize, his books are rare and hard to find. A search on Amazon reveals only a few used copies available. Murray Rothstein (fake name Sumner Redstone), who owns Viacom and CBS and holdings like Simon and Schuster, aren’t publishing Solzhenitsyn’s books. Look in vain for his last work, Two Hundred Years Together, an evaluation of two centuries of interaction between Russians and Jews.

Why is Solzhenitsyn suppressed? Is there no market for atrocities?

Vassili Berezhkov, a retired KGB colonel and historian of the secret services and the NKVD (the precursor of the KGB), told the Guardian: “If Solzhenitsyn writes that there were many Jews in the NKVD, it will increase the passions of anti-semitism, which has deep roots in Russian history. I think it is better not to discuss such a question now.” Guardian, January 25, 2003.

In Hebrew, the holocaust is called Shoah. And Jews have a saying, “There’s no business like Shoah business.” Surely between movies like Shindler’s List, and events like Holocaust Remembrance month, and the countless books and articles written about all of the alleged horrors of nazi concentration camps, surely there’s a market for Solzhenitsyn. The Diary of Anne Frank is required reading in schools. Surely the NEA can squeeze in a little Solzhenitsyn. After all, what the nazis allegedly did to European Jews is minuscule in comparison to what Jews did to Russians.

When one realizes that the “Jewish” holocaust™ provides Jewry with a strong impetus for zionism and political activism, it becomes readily apparent that Solzhenitsyn isn’t good for Shoah business after all. In fact, for zionists and other Jewish political activists, Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn is nothing more than a thorn in the side.

FBI & Homeland Security behind martial law exercises in Indianapolis

For over two weeks 2,300 Marines have been using the city of Indianapolis and its civilian population as a “simulated urban combat zone” under the direction of FBI and the Department of Homeland Security.

The exercises began on June 4th when Mayor Greg Ballard surrendered 26 sites around the city. The corporate press, Marine spokesmen, and officials with the city of Indianapolis have all been using the same talking points in an attempt to pacify local citizens and moderate any dissent. The official story has been that the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit is here to do pre-deployment training in a realistic urban environment. Col. Mark J. Desens, the unit’s commanding officer, said “Our aim in Indianapolis is to expose our Marines to realistic scenarios and stresses posed by operating in an actual urban community. The city’s new mayor Greg Ballard concurs with the commander saying, “I think it’s very good training for them…actually, city fighting, urban fighting is really the most dangerous type of fighting there is.”
